KWEVRIS /cuivrê/
Kwevris means amphora or clay jar used to store wine, with a shape arounded. It dates from the fifth or sixth Millenniums b.C., and the first peaces in ceramic were found near Caspio ́s Sea. Yet, at first it resembled a pithos from Greece or a dolium from Rome, than the Kwevris of today, which are thinner and looks like an amphora. However, this jug has a set of small delta- shaped protrusions on either side of its wide mouth, which seems a bunch of grapes.
